2005 Silverado brake lights on tail not working, cruise out , bulbs and fuses ok

Brake light switch? The cruise and brake lights problems are likely related. The cruise control cuts out when you press on the brakes. I had a van where the cruse wouldn't engage. Then someone pointed out my brake lights were always on. It was the switch.

Cant find the fuse for the fuel pump

The fuel pump does not have its own fuse. The fuel pump circuit is protected by fuse # 8 (20 Amp) in the Power Distribution Center in the engine compartment. This fuse also supplies power to the Ignition Switch and the Starter Relay.

HINT: If the starter cranks the engine, this fuse is OK.

I am fixing a sansui rz-5000av receiver /amp. the problem is the power supply,it does not switch on. the fuse is fine, capacitors are all ok. But power does not reach connector for the standby supply to...

So you're saying ac doesn't get very far into the unit. THAT should be easy to diagnose with CARE since ac is usually passed unmodified to the fuses and power supplies, maybe through a relay. Get a digital voltmeter and find out where it disappears after getting into the unit.

1990 buick century All power windows will not move fuses on fuse block (locaated in back of glove box door )checked ok with ohm meter T.I.A. ****

Well I was wrong, the window on pass side worked from the switch on the pass door !! So now that I know this I took apart the driver side door switch controll panel ( ie. 4 windows switch up/down & 4 door lock / unlock switch) I found 12 volts to the door lock section but NO 12 volts to the window section ( with key on) !! ratheer then trying to trace out this wire (oange) I took 12 volts from the door & jumpered it to the window 12 volt supply { now I know the door wire is thicker ( more amps) then the window supply but I dont't think I'll be useing all 4 window moters at once...} oh well what the hell it's almost 20 years old has three sets of seats & gets close to 28 MPG....

Tv won't turn on

I assume you do not have any red light showing on the front of the TV to indicate it is receiving power? Again assuming the your mains electric supply is functioning & the fuse in the TV plug is ok, if there are no signs of life & then most likely a fuse in the power supply may have blown. If you have a multimeter you could remove the rear of the TV & check the fuses in the power supply, if these are ok then you will need to check any supply voltages coming from the power board. If one of the fuses are open circuit, check some of the doides or transistors for any short circuits. If you are not comfortable doing this, then it would be advisible to contact a repair service centre.

Tv wont switch on

This could be a problem with the power supply. Yes there is a fuse on the power supply & if you have a multi-meter & are competent with electrical safety, you could test it. However, if it has blown then almost certainly something else will have caused it. You might have a short circuit bridge rectifier or faulty chopper transistor. If the fuse is ok, then you will need to check voltages from the power supply to find out what feeds you have. There may be a start resistor open circuit for example. If most of the start up voltages are ok, then you need to look at the line output stage & check if this circuit is getting any voltage supply.

No Turn On

Check all the fuse devices--most are soldered-in pico fuses in the power supply circuitry. They range in value from 2 amp to 5 amp or more. They are usually a light brownish color.

Let me know what you find....T.
