Shut down after a few seconds
Hvc misfier? Was this message on the screen or your own conclusion?
Anytime a microwave shuts down within a few seconds and there was a high voltage jolt inside, there can be damage to the microwave element.
These days, 800 watt microwaves don't cost too much to replace.
Do not put metal into a microwave, as it will destroy it.
Does this help?

Sir/Madom,
If you are Experiencing Problem during cooking-it seems to Steam activating the sensor.
You have to avoid creating too much steam.
When microwaving foods with a lot of moisture, you should cover most of the bowl/etc with plastic to contain most of the steam. You can also select a lower energy level to cook/warm your food. The sensor is pretty sensitive.
Thanks for Contacting FixYa...
It happens every time with an empty oven.
Oven shuts off after varying amounts of time. This could be a faulty magnetron, bad cooling fan (or just built up dust and grime block ventilation grilles), bad thermal protector, faulty controller, some other intermittent component, or bad connections.
Inspect the cord and plug for physical damage and to make sure the plug is secure and tight in the outlet - particularly if the unit is installed inside a cabinet.
Check if there are any loose connections, wire etc- inside

The magnetron may have either failed or
is not being supplied with the extremely high voltage required to run
it.
Make sure the !!!!capacitor is discharged!!!!!
before attempting any sort of repair.
Check the door interlock
switches first then the high voltage diode with either an AVO model 8
on high resistance range for short circuit, the feed fuse on the
primary of the high voltage transformer and then finally, the
magnetron is best checked by substitution.
Hope that helps.
