MY System is not reading (RECOGNIZING) when I insert the discs.. I put the disk in and NOTHING.!!! No Automatic start up.. No Movies Nothing.. I dont klnow what to do??

Hey, update on my broken ps3. i rang sony and told them bout the situation, they were really good about it and r sending me a new ps3 console. i think they r about to get swamped with ps3s who have been updated with this unpdate! LOL even with this dilemma, i would still much much rather a playstation than an xbox. and how sony handled the problem, i was very much impressed!
We should all go and take our frustration to the BBC Watchdog as this was clearly an issue which Sony must have seen let alone known about but again Sony has let down US as loyal Sony fans which should have taken the X-Box instead guys
It is due from the latest system upgrade 2.30 it allows the blue ray to speed up faster then it should and frying the laser if you call Sony and let them they will cover it under warranty and there even extending the 1yr warranty for those who bought the console in 2006 and early 2007 due to this malfunction

My ps3 froze during a loading screen, which is has done manytimes, which i would have to turn of from the back and re start up the ps3, but its always been fine, this time tho, when i turned my ps3 back on, it came on normal, but wont recognise any disc in it. wont read anything! no games, blueray, music! ANYTHING!!!!! i dont know if it is a software malfunction? anyone know how i can fix this? have the new gta on order so really want to sort it out before its released! anybody been thru this before and fixed it? cheers!
When i put in any game or blueray it will not work all that will happen is the error code (80010514) will come up but it will play regular dvds
when i put a blue-ray game or disk it doesnt read it on the xmb menu, cds and normal dvds work so i think its the blue-ray drive, does anyone know wot the problem is please
