Ink tray full what to do

Usually on a laser printer (which this is not) there is a waste toner bottle that fills up with waste toner. But, I am unaware of it being this way on your mp150.

p.108 of the user manual says that the waste ink absorber must be replaced if you get an error 1700 with a Mac.
Press 'OK' to continue printing until the waste ink absorber is really saturated or filled, and the printer will not print until it is replaced.

Warning: I didn't see the part listed, though, so you may be looking at another printer to replace this one if you can't resolve the issue.

The waste ink absorber is full
To reset your Canon IP1000 just simply pull out power cord then press-hold power button, while holding power button insert back power cord. You will notice that the power button indicator lights up upon inserting power cord. then you may release power button and start printer. That will solve your "The waste ink absorber is full" message.

Downside is: you may have to do this frequently if your printer looses power. You will understand what i mean.

Our Canon Pixma MP150 is showing an error message E5 and previously E3. Can you tell me what these mean please.
here are the error codes for your printer

E2 - No paper (ASF)
E3 - Paper jam
E4 - No ink
E5 - The ink cartridges are not installed or a non-supported ink cartridge is installed , or the ink cartridges are not installed properly
E8 - Waste ink absorber full, or platen waste ink absorber full «ОК»)
E9 - The connected digital camera / video camera does not support Camera Direct Printing
E14 - The Ink cartridges whose destination are wrong
E15 - Ink cartridge is not installed
E16 - Ink remaining is unknown
E19 - Failed to scan head alignment sheet
E22 - Carriage error
E23 - Paper feed error

CANON PIXMA ERROR 5800
The waste absorber is full ,Replace the pads
then if you still get the error,you can reset it by following the directions below.
(reset without replacing pads can cause damage)

1) Enter SERVICE MODE By pressing Menu-Scan-Copy-Scan
2) Enter NVRAM by pressing <--- or ---> then OK
3)SET ABS-M LEVEL TO 0
4)OK

Printer says ''waste Ink absorber is full'' see service center
This is what the manual says: Ink used for cleaning is absorbed in a waste ink absorber placed in the machine. Press [OK] to cancel the error so that you can continue printing. Once the waste ink absorber becomes completely full, printing cannot be done until the waste ink absorber is replaced.
Canon recommends to contact a Canon service representative as soon as possible.
