Is there supposed to be a chime or buzzer that

My wife has a 2003 Honda CRV manual 2WD and she keeps leaving the lights on. Is there supposed to be a chime or buzzer that goes off when the headlights are on and you are leaving the vehicle? If so, where is this thing and how do I replace it?

If there is a chime or buzzer that no longer works. there is a cheap solution for adding this feature back through the fuse box for $8.50 plus s/h.

any car the rpm shouldn't exceed the 4000 round per minutes and you can check it from the sound of the car if it's so loud you should decrease the acceleration pad or give the next gear if it's manual

1988 chevy siverado chime does not work when you leave headlights on

Try to look up the following for an aftermarket buzzer that installs in the fuse box:

http://automotiveelectronicaccessories.com/aeapn400.htm

I think it says $8.50 plus shipping and handling to fix your problem.

The buzzer sounds like a piezoelectric buzzer rather than a chime, but it works. I put one on my 1990 Cadillac Deville that had a chime that stopped working. Usually the chime that comes with the car when it goes bad is not repairable economically except by this aftermarket solution.

Good luck on this upgrade or repair of your left lights on chime.

No buzzer or bell for headlights being left on

I had a similar problem -- my interior lights would not come on when I opened my driver's door, plus I wouldn't get a warning if I left the key in the ignition or the headlights on.

There is a switch covered with rubber on the door post. I removed the switch, sprayed just a slight amount of contact cleaner, made sure the switch worked by grounding it to the frame and pressing the switch in & out a couple of times. Then I carefully replaced it.

I attributed the problem to my seat belt buckle hitting the switch as I closed the door without checking to see if the seat belt had retracted properly.

Hope this is of some help.
