Remove the battery and wash the phone out with distilled water. Saltwater is very conductive and you need to get the residue off of the internal parts of the phone. Now place the phone in a warm dry place for a few days. If you have a forced air heating system, place the phone in front of a vent. Do not place it on a radiator. If this doesn't work, you might need a new phone.

Dropped phone in cup of water what can I do.

If it has a battery you can take out, take it out. Keep the phone in a warm dry place and do the dry rice thing again for about 3 days before putting the battery back in.
Good luck

How do i fix my phone dropped my phone in water

Dry your phone with simple towel. Then put your phone in a bag of rice for over 24 hours. Take out your phone and try to start it and see if it works. I am talking about phones in which battery can't be separated. If you could separate the battery then, dry it from outside then pull out the battery and dry gently inside then put it in a bag of rice overnight and start it next day.

Good luck!

I dropped my phone in juice (lemon-aid) it was glitching and so I took the battery out and put it in rice over night then took a air conpresser to it and put it bake in rice I jus now put rubbing alcohol...

Ok, keep it in the rice and also put teh phone itself into the rice for three or so days, then you may need a new battery if it got wet, but it should work fine

My son dropped his phone in the ocean will not come on

It most likely is dead. Whenever this happens you should immediately remove the battery. If that is not possible turn the phone off. From there, letting the phone dry by putting it in a Ziploc bag with rice for several days sometimes will fix the phone.
I once dropped mine in a pool. I popped the battery off, dried it out with the rice method and tried to get it working again. It did not work until I replaced the battery but the phone was fine after that.

My phone dropped in water for a few seconds. I took out the battery and SIMS card. I blew it out with air. For the most part, the phone works, except the right button and down button on the cirlcle...

turn the phone off, take out the battery - if you have one of those airtight bags - half fill it with uncooked rice and seal the phone in the bag and leave overnight.

Alternatively use a hairdryer on the phone for about 30 mins but don't put it so close that if overheats the phone....gently does it.

After taking the camera into the water, it won't stay on.

Remove the battery and then immerse both the camera and the phone into a pound of dry uncooked rice for at least three days. The dry rice will **** all of the moisture out. After three days put in the battery and try it. If it works. problem solved. If not, remove the battery and stick it all back into the rice for a few more days.

My samsung impression dropped in water and touch screen broke

I also dropped my Samsung Impression in the toilet, I immediately took the phone took the protective case off, took the battery cover off, and took the battery and my SIM card out and towel dried it as best as I could. Then I sat it on the floor next to my fan and let it dry until I got to my grandparents a little while later and I put it in a bowl of rice, completely covered the phone and battery with rice and left it sit overnight in the rice and all of the next day, so far i've had it on about 20 minutes and have had no problems with it so far, another solution is to sit it in the sun, to further dry it out. Water damage will void warranties on your phone and battery and your provider will know instantly if the damage was water related when they take your battery cover off, there is a small square sticker that when dry and hasn't touched water should be white, but as soon as it comes into contact with water it turns red, there is also one of these stickers on the battery. My stickers were red and after sitting in the rice they look like they got lighter in color considerably, I don't know if that is really possible but appearance wise it looks that way. I hope this helps anyone who has had this problem. Good Luck!

I drop my phone centro palm into water! I charge the phone and the red light turns on but my phone wont turn on at all. What can i do

Get a bowl of rice. Remove the battery from the phone. Leave the phone back open. Put phone and battery in the bowl of rice, cover and leave overnight.

The rice will hopefully soak up any water inside the phone and battery. If this doesn't work there may be permanent damage to the phone from the water and charging afterwords.
