The cause of your problem is simple: your "cache"
memory & "temporary internet files" are nearly full.
This is especially true if you've been watching lots
of videos or playing a lot of games/music.

If you are experiencing either: A) slugglish loading
and buffering, B) "choppy" videos which frequently
start/stop/start/stop, C) the YouTube dotted circle
looking like it might spin for ever, or D) videos that
will sometimes come to a sudden "stop" or freeze,
that is often a sign that your cache/memory is full
and cannot take anymore.

Exit out of YouTube (but not your browser) and do
one of the steps below. Afterwards, shutdown and
reboot. Not only will this "free up" your computer's
memory, everything will be "fresh", and load faster:

Internet Explorer 6:
→ Tools → Internet Options
→ Delete Cookies → OK
→ Delete Files → OK
→ Clear History → Yes
→ OK

Internet Explorer 7:
→ Tools → Internet Options → Delete...
→ Delete files → Yes
→ Delete cookies → OK
→ Delete history → OK
→ Close (browsing history window)
→ OK

Internet Explorer 8:
→ Tools → Delete Browsing History
[. ] Preserve Favorites (leave blank)
[x] Temporary Internet files
[x] Cookies
[x] History
→ Delete

Mozilla Firefox 3:
→ Tools → Clear Private Data
[x] Browsing History
[x] Download History
[x] Saved Form and Search History
[x] Cache
[x] Cookies
→ Clear Private Data Now
Google Chrome:
→ Tools (wrench) → Clear browsing data...
[x] Clear browsing history
[x] Clear download history
[x] Empty the cache
[x] Delete cookies
Clear data from this period: → Everything
→ Clear Browsing Data

Thanks......Have a great time.

When I go to play a video It will play for a few seconds, stop, than play and it continues to do so.. what do I need to do to fix this problem?

This might be due to a slow internet connection. See, for smooth playback, the part of the movie your computer wants to show has to be downloaded already - it has to be "buffered". If you have a slow internet connection, the speed at which your computer can download a movie might be slower than the actual time it takes to watch what's being downloaded. That's why your movie will stop, wait until another part of it has been buffered, and then recommence.

In AOL with Windows XP I cannot view YouTube without it stopping every few seconds. I have dial-up. Is that why? PLEEEEEEZZEE answer. KD

Yes. Dial up is a slow connection so the video will really stop from time to time for the rest of it to be downloaded.

U Tube Starts for a few moments and then stops and carries on for a few seconds and stops again

Its all about buffering issue. What is the download speed of your internet connection. If its broadband, with a minimum of 50k download capacity, then you need to check if there is any back end process that is killing the download band width and bit transfer. Please write back if you got help from my comments and advices. Good Luck

I cannot play videos on UTube with my IPad. The videos stop every few seconds as if they are reloading . am I doing something wrong or is it because of the"NO Flash" issue with Apple?

It could be the speed (or lack of it) of your Internet connection -- you cannot download fast-enough to provide "real-time" video. When you start to download a video, press PAUSE, and let the download continue for a minute or two. Then, click PLAY, to view the already-downloaded stream.

Why wont my pc play youtube music videos

1. bandwith
2. busy youtube site
3. congestion on the video itself (lots of people watching)

Solution:
www.veoh.com like youtube but much faster.
Download the video directly on your computer using real plyaer video downloader and watch it that way. Or subscribe to a hgigh bandwith package or wait during non peak times.

other possiable cuases are:

Adobe flash needs to be updated. www.adobe.com
you can also try html 5 @ www.youtube.com/html5

Good luck
