Issue may be adjustable in the Tech menu with your remote---you need to see if you can find the service manual (with schematics and information about getting into that menu and how to adjust).

Try to GOOGLE MODEL NUMBER WITH service manual or contact Pioneer.

Hi my nameis Mike Houston of DISH Network and I see you have a green line on the rightside of the screen, and there was a service tech that said "the HDMI port isbad". From what it sounds like here is your power supply unit may have some issues.

1. Take it to a repair shop if your not good at repairing this.

1. check relay for clicks
2. check eletrolytic capacitors for buldging or holes.
3. Fets for voltages (req service manual or scematic)
4. Replace power supply.

it sounds like one of the boards are going out I would call sylvania and check with there service dept maybe they can send a tech and part out under warranty

Thanks for the instructions, they worked great and your pictures were very helpful. I recommend that everybody try this before calling a service tech.

Send it back ASAP and get a replacement! I'm serious. You wouldn't want to baby sit this lemon by missing work because you're waiting for a home service tech provided by the company. When the tech comes, he will not have the part required to fix the unit and you'll be waiting at least a week to get another service call. That's another day missing work. You are one lucky guy if the servicer can totally fix the unit to your satisfaction in two visits. Days missed at work could very well add up into buying a new TV. Do not take ownership of this problematic unit especially if you just bought it. Send it back!
