Premier 2gb mp4 player

My mp4 player has frozen.switched on screen displays loading until battery expires. no matter which combination of any buttons pressed.No web site mentioned in users manual .Gives this USB\VID_10D6&PID_FF66&REV_0100
ident when trying to find drivers on the web with player connected to laptop by usb cable.the laptop does not reconise player on removable disk page.Tried loading from driver disk issued with player but to no avail.Help please,

    i have exactly the same problem with my 4gb glacier mp4 player... anyone have any ideas? all i can think of is that the nokia phone battery might of messed up or the actual software is knackered.

    I can't get my mp4 player to get off the hour glass. I pressed every singal button there is. I got it cheap. I think it's broke. When I shake it you can hear something shaking in it. Is there anyplace I can get it repaired? I had it for one day. It was working for one minute. Then I went somewhere and I tried to turn it on when I got back but it was frozen.

    When I turn it on it flashes a white then a black screen. A hour glass apears on the screen with a blue background. After that it is done nothing works. I was woundering it there is a way to reset, rebot, reformat, reprogram, or if i should just start using to level my kitchen table's leg?

There is no current soloution, there is a virus on the net that completly wipes all information off mp4's including the driver files, repair files and mp4 player files.
the only temporary way to fix it is to either find another mp4 and copy the sofware off that and install the divices from the copied folder, or somehow download the files off the net.

Make sure power switch is on.

Press and hold center button.
next press and hold "menu" on the ring.

When a Apple logo appears on the screen let the buttons go.

Should take just a few seconds.

Most of customer who case this matter, when they are still download or upload the data, which once case the system hang. Most of customer, accord to the following steps to format their mp3 player once, which can help them to solve this matter.
  • 1.Install the battery, Press and hold the “MENU” and “REC” button at same time to turn on your mp3 player.
  • 2.Then you can see “MP3 PLAYER MATE V1.000” on the screen. But please remember don’t release the “MENU” and “REC” button.
  • 3.Until the player enters to the MP3 mode. Then you can release the “MENU” and “REC” button.
  • 4.Complete.

If there is no any improvement, please repeat step 1 to 3

Try pushing the reset button on the bottom, next to the USB socket, then try switching on again.

If this doesn't work, then you may have corrupt firmware. Try a factory restore, as follows:

Open Philips Device Manager.

Whilst pressing and holding the [VOL+] button on the player, connect to the PC.

Continue to hold [VOL+] until told to release, then follow the on-screen prompts.

This will format the player and re-load the firmware.

NOTE: ALL FILES WILL BE DELETED FROM THE PLAYER.

Creative Zen V Plus Frozen on the product title screen
this helped me as after it rebuilds the libary then it always froze on a song let the battery run out!
this worked for me straight away and i had tried loads of other ideas this actually came from the tech guys !!!
  1. Detach the player from the PC if it is connected, and turn off the player.
  2. Press and hold the Play button while powering on the player.
  3. When the player displays the Creative logo, release the Play button
  4. Select Format (All) and select Yes to format the player.
  5. After the player has finished formatting, select Reboot.
  6. Re-transfer the tracks to the player.

i would suggest to reset it by pressing the reset button with a toothpick.......i experienced the same problem sometimes,but in your case, my brother who also has one,left it frozen and it went dead after a couple of mins. we connected it to the charger then it worked........i hope it will work on you case.

Sony (chinese) MP4 player with hour glass frozen screen
Try resetting the player. There should either be a button for that (possibly on the back) or holding certain buttons together may prompt it. Check your player's user guide as it will certainly say how to restart it. If you can't find out how to restart it, try disconnecting the battery.
