Fridge gets cold air from freezer to cool it. Your freezer is fine but not enough cold air is getting into fridge compartment. U have some dampers or louvers that direct air flow to fridge and if they are not set properly cooling will not be adequate. Check those out.
check your damper vent door located between the fridge and freezer and make sure its opening up to let cold air into the fridge, also check the evaporator fan motor and make sure its operating to blow the air around the inside of the unit
Difficult to properly diagnois with such a brief description, but try the following as a good first step at correcting the problem. Reset the freezer and fridge thermostat settings at the factory default. Also, check the freezer section to make sure nothing is blocking the cold air supply vent into the fridge, do the same on the fridge side too.
Normally is the freezer is working fine, and the fridge is warm, it can be due to either a blockage of the cold air cross vent by items in either the freezer, fridge, or both, preventing proper cold air flow from the freezer into the fridge. Also, check to see if the cold air vent is not frozen or obstructed, with a fashlight (you;ll need to remove stuff from fridge and freezer to make this possible to check.
If the vent is not obstructed and you can clearly feel cold air passing from the freezer into the fridge, it is possible that the cold air vent control has ceased operating properly and needs to be replaced. Usually though this type of problem is caused by people over stuffing things into the freezer section and blocking the cold air cross over vent. Hope this helps.
check the cold for what you want but the ideal settings would be 5 for the freezer and 37 for the fridge
freezer can be really cold but the fridge if too cold will freeze vegetables and lettuce
My frigidaire has a flapper valve assembly that opens and lets the cold air in from the freezer as required. The frigidaires are known for the flapper breaking and staying open and allowing too much cold air in to the refridgerator side.. Check yours out. Mine has a shroud at the top of the refridgerator. Remove it and look around, I feel sure you have the same problem.
If the compressor is running continually, could be short of gas , or a compressor problem, ie not pumping properly, make sure it has plenty of ventilation
you could find ice behind the back panel - worth a check. however the problem is probably ice in the return vent from fridge to freezer and the only way to cure is to switch off and leave for a day with doors open. if im right and you try this, if it re-occurs you may have a problem with the defrost system
