Hello. I have a Compaq Presario m2000. Just starting today whenever i turn on my computer, it stays on the screen where the BIOS process runs. If I'm right, thats when it shows the screen where it says...

That means you have a bad ram memory. some times with just take them out from the slot and put them back in will fix that kind of problem. however if you have a bad memory you will need to buy them.

you ram memory should be located at back of your laptop. you will need a screw driver to open it. is really easy to do it.

hope this help

When i insert the usb it shows a message that the device is not recognised and the contents also can't be seen. what should i do?

Sometimes it can be caused by the usb port, usb cable and etc where the voltage supply might not be enough, thus cannot recognize the device. Try switch to another usb port.

Apache Linux Problem

It means that apache want to use SysV IPC. (semaphore get function)

IPC:
Inter process communication
These software objects (semaphores, shared memory and signals) enables the processes to exchange information.
Apache processes wants to exchange information via semaphores but could not,

You current Linux kernel dont have SystemV IPC support.
You should build a new Linux kernel with a SystemV IPC support.
You will have to rebuild the kernel with that support enabled (it's under the "General Setup" submenu)

I hope you can compile a new Linux kernel, if not this can help:

Boot from hard drive on network?

Hi. If you're talking about having an external hard drive somewhere on your network and using that as your boot device in the same fashion as a USB-attached hard drive, then no. However, you can boot a computer using something called BootP, which is short for Bootstrap Protocol. Historically this was used by diskless workstations to obtain an IP address as well as the location of the boot image that the computer would use to boot up. It used to be used in only the *nix world (Unix, Linux, etc.). However, there is also some use in the MS Windows environments, specifically with  diskless media center computers running a Windows operating system.....Hope this helps!
