Click Start and then go to Printers and Faxes (XP), Printers(Vista), Devices and Printers(Win 7)
1. Right Click on your printer Icon
2. Click Open or See What's Printing
3. Click the option that says Printer on the upper left corner of the window that pops up.
4. Make sure the only thing that is checked under that menu is Set As Default Printer.
5. If Use Printer Offline or Pause Printing has a check mark. Uncheck it.
Try printing again. I hope this helped.
First try reinstalling drivers for your printer from original CD, if that doesn't help update your drivers from the Internet.
If none of it helps, try connecting your printer to another computer and see if it will behave the same. If it does, then printer is ready for retirement.
Unplug printer and try cleaning the contact pins of the cartridge holder/carriage with a moist clothe or tissue. Check also the flex cable if it has been worn or eaten by a rodent. Check also the cartridge number specification, maybe you have replaced a wrong cartridge.
Could you please provide me the version of the opearating system you are using and also let me know the connectivity between the printer and the computer(USB/NETWORk(wired or wireless)) in oreder to provide you the exact solutiuon.
And also let me know if you get any error messages either on the printer or on the computer when you try to print or scan
there is that interactive services dialog detection that appears and no printing is detected anymore .. it prints but nothing appears in the piece of paper. i am pissed off with this.

You should be able to get an error message from your computer, the details being on at that webpage.
I also own an HP D2360. I had the same problem with eyang and vinerc. I brought the printer to a computer technician and he told me that my color cartridge is busted and needs to be replaced. I bought a new color cartridge and presto! My printer is working fine.
