On the HP Laser Jet 3050, there is a vertical line on every copy, when using the copy feature. The line does not appear when printing. Is this a problem for which there is a solution?
I would look at the scanner. It is not involved in the printer process but is in the copy process. Clean the glass with a glass cleaner and soft cloth. Remove the glass and also clean the lamp assembly. If either part has a dark mark on it it would leave a line on the copy. If this does not solve your problem and the unit is several years old I would replace the lamp. Let me know if you need more assistance.
