My htc p3300 shuts down when in use. i can only use it for one-two minutes and when it turns off i can not restart it immediately but only after some time 5-10 minutes
I have exact the same problem! Somtimes it starts after I take the battery out and push long on the turn-on button. Then it stops again. The phone goes into some kind of extreme powersave, and it can't be turned on or rebooted immediatly.
I already tried to clean the batterycontacts, boot with and without SIM and extended memory, uninstalled some software which could trigger some kind of error. Nothing seems to get the phone to stay on. I've backed up most of my files and software so i'll try to reset the device to factory settings. Maybe it will resolve anything. It this doesn't work, I'll try to plug it in my PC, make an activesync connection and try to flash the device again with Mobile 6. (Hopefully it doesn't power off while flashing)(I think it doesn't, it looks like a software problem to me...)

i have the same problem it seems like there is no solution i will change my phone i think this is the only solution because i change the battery, i bought new battery and the problem remains i done the hard reset and the factory reset and the same problem again...

Exact problem, my 14 months old HTC P3300 switches off randomly, and find it difficult to start. Some cases, it switch on but start to die out. I am not sure why HTC is not commenting on this. it is the same problem that i am having right now with my P3300.. yes, ihave upgraded it to WM6 but returned back to WM5 as the bluetooth turns off on WM6 automatically.. i just hope that HTC comments on this one as my pda is just exactly 1 year and 17 days only.. maybe buying a new one of other brand will work better.. right HTC??? it is the same problem that i am having right now with my P3300.. yes, ihave upgraded it to WM6 but returned back to WM5 as the bluetooth turns off on WM6 automatically.. i just hope that HTC comments on this one as my pda is just exactly 1 year and 17 days only.. maybe buying a new one of other brand will work better.. right HTC???

Same here, the device just turns off completely on random occasions. sometimes it gets triggered by using the menu, sometimes you leave it and it turns off completely. really annoying, any solutions yet or do i have to permanently switch over to another brand and phone soon ? because this is not new as it seems and i have had it.
I have the same problem with my p3300, i tried to flash a new rom from xda developers, but nothing..
i tried to change the battery, again the same problem...

does the charge light stay on (orange led) on or does it go green or flash on-off orange?
could be battery issue..
on the charge slot on the bottom of p3300 there will be 2 bins left and right inside. try bending them slightly - ONLY slightly tho incase it snaps.

its wat im doing at the moment, im currenlty trying to figure this out so ill keep you informed if i find the soloution.
atm i have to have my phone on charge to use it, otherwise it just goes off but thats how im getting it to charge atm.
It's as simple as that.
1. Enable bluetooth on your HTC phone.
2. Tap 'Start' > 'Internet sharing'.
3. From the 'PC connection' drop-down list, seletec 'Bluetooth PAN.'
4. Tap 'Connect'.
5. Enable bluetooth on your computer/laptop.
6. Go to 'Conenction Manager'.
7. Select 'Conenct via bluetooth'.
Both devices will be in sync now enabling you transfer data.
Make a free call your providor Airtel's Support helpline from your mobile and ask them to send the GPRS settings directly to your HTC P3300 You may have to just click on Save option when you receive the settings and restart your mobile. After that it should work fine.

uninstall, restart pc, install, restart c. done if no. . hard reset p3300
if you are using XP,install ACTIVE SYNC 4.5. if you are using VISTA or WINDOWS 7, no need any sync software. plug in the HTC to your laptop. right click on MY COMPUTER and select MANAGE. in the window that appears now, on the left hand side select DEVICE MANAGER. now on the right hand side see if you have any yellow colour icons. if YES,try to update the drivers. if nothing works out, try another PHONE to connect and use your phone to connect to another laptop. atleast this will give some idea as where the problem lies

My smartphone has the same problem. sometimes it allready crashes when I enter my pincode. Eventually, i can't do anything anymore with my htc 3300
