Water standing in tub

Check the drain line, it may be clogged and not allowing the pump to drain in the cycle. Also check the screens inside the tub. Maybe debris is blocking them.

The odor that you are experiencing may be from the growth of mold. Inside the washer, some small pools of water may be left standing and is harboring mold spores. Even though you may operate the washer regularly, the mold spores are not being washed away.I have a couple of tips that might help to eliminate odor issues in your washing machine. First, and the most effective in my research is to, leave the lid, or door to the unit open. By leaving the door open, it promotes air circulation and evaporation of standing water. The reduction in odor, will occur quickly and dramatically.

My second tip is to run the washer empty for a quick rinse cycle. Add an entire cup of bleach at the start of the cycle. The bleach is effective at destroying organisms, such as mold and bacteria. However, running it once will not be completely effective. I suggest pouring another cup of bleach into the wash tub, after the cycle has completed. This will leave bleach as the standing pool and should prevent the growth of mold or bacteria. However, if you do this, before doing a load of laundry you should run an empty rinse cycle again, to avoid damage to the clothes from the bleach left standing in the wash tub.

I had similar problem and it ended up being a clog at the point where the drain hose meets the garbage disposal. I had to unhook the hose and clean out the food that had accumulated (horrible smell). You may have to stick a screwdriver into the garbage disposal hole where the hose fits and clean the food out there also. Then put the hose into a bucket and run a few cycles to ensure the hose is free.

hit the cancel drain cycle. Often times the dishwasher drain hose is not installed properly. It must be routed up as high as the dishwasher as soon as it comes out of the unit. May be also that there was a little regular soap or something that made it sudds up. vegetable oil poured into the dw tub will remove the sudds. Try to wash again after cleaning out the sudds and run it again. Thanks

REPLACE TIMER

Check disposer plug. If a garbage disposer has been recently installed, it is possible the disposer drain plug was not removed. The drain plug is a plastic piece in the disposer that blocks the hole where the dishwasher hose connects. Also check the hose connected to the disposal. Mine apparently had a kink in it. When I straightened the hose the dishwasher drained at full speed (I recently had a plumber re-route a hot waterline. He must has bent the hose). Hope this helps. If not go to the GE website. do they flash lik all on one side then the other? Start a cycle, then open the door. Do the lights flash the same way when you open the door as when it stops? if soyou may have a door that needs to be adjusted so it closes better. when the cycle ends, is there any standing water in the bottom? if so you may have a poorly routed drain hose or a partial clog in it. Last, pull the bottom panels off and look inside the bottom of the dishwasher and see if there is standing water down there . If ther is you have aleak somewhere or a bad drain pump. You r only other choice is a bad pressure switch. If youve already adjusted the water fil to the proper level ( just up to the grey plastic housing that the lower wash arm sits on) tehre really aernt any more options. Hope this helps!

my dishwasher just keeps bleaking clear AND NO WATER IS GOING INTO THE MACHINE IT JUSTS KEEPS RUNNING BUT THEIR IS NO WATER COMING IN.

Run the dishwasher and observe the spray arm,if split it will spray water down: Also check water in tub, is it filling up sufficiently to get near the heater? If it has a upper spray arm does it spray water? If not you may have a clogged upper spray arm.
