It sounds like the motor is heating up and tripping the overload. The squealing is probably coming from you pump. Tilt the washer back and turn the pulley for the pump by hand and if it make the squeal, replace. If it does not you may have a bad transmission.
Check door switch: If
the lid switch is bad it will not drain or spin. Try this test: With lid open
let it finish wash cycle. Press lid switch down with screwdriver. Washer should begin draining.
Release switch. Motor should stop. Press
switch a second time. Washer should
start spinning as it continues to drain. If motor doesn't come on while lid
switch is pressed, replace the switch.

Step 2
Twist the control dial around the cycle settings.

Alternate Method---Older Machines
Step 1
Turn the dial around the cycle settings, but do not lift it to start the cycle.

Unplug the washer.
Step 3
Plug the washer into the wall after 30 seconds without power.
Step 4
Lift
the washer lid five times, making sure it reaches a height of at least
6 inches or more. There should be no more than a 15-second interval
between lifts.
Step 5
Listen for a clicking noise. If a click is not heard, repeat steps 1 to 5 until you hear it.
Step 6
Place a small load of laundry into the washer and start the cycle.
Step 7
Watch the load throughout the wash to ensure the washer is working properly.
