The axels are held on by a retainer attached with screws. I had a similiar problem with my polaris. Had to open up and locate the loose screws and re attach. Also the wheels are held on to the shaft with a c-clip. May be missing and the wheel fixin to come off

Hello. i have a Polaris 3900 Sport - 1 yr old. lately i notice that the drive chain is coming off of one of the sprockets, so that only the single wheel is driving and the cleaner just runs in circles. ...

Im trying to fix the similar problem...the sprocket on the gearbox is worn Part# 393-204. Unfortunately. u have to buy the whole gearbox. BS in my opinion. U should just be able to buy the sprocket...Im trying to figure how to do this with Polaris.

Popping noise coming from front sprocket when wheel is turned on 01 suzuki gsxr 600

hi it sounds like your front sproket is really worn and hooked when you turn the chain its not releasing the links smoothly ,replace it with a new one and check the condition of your chain it may be worth replacing a complete chain and sproket set as running a bike with a worn front sproket could lead to a back wheel locking up at speed if the chain jams

The chain on the MX500 dirt bike is slipping over the sproket on the back wheel. I've read the posts where the sproket turns but the wheel does not, that is not my issue. I'm thinking I just need to...

Is there a chain adjustment on this bike? It must be very loose to slip over the sprocket. See if there are two bolts that act as jacks to move the rear wheel back away from the drive sprocket. Loosen the locking nuts on each bolt, and tighten both equally until there is only 1/2 inch of play in the middle of the chain, then repost.

My Polaris 3900 Sport Pool Cleaner's doing tight circles in the pool because the single left-side wheel is not turning at all, while the 2 right wheels are turning normally. How do I fix it?

I had a similar issue. When I lifted the unit out of the water while it was operating only the single wheel was rotating. I turned it off and removed the bag and hose. I flipped it over on a workbench and unscrewed the three recessing screws securing the base plate. Once the plate was removed I noticed the metal chain driving the two wheels had come off on the far side of the inner sprocket. I worked the chain back onto the sprocket and tested it by rotating the single wheel and verifying the other two wheels rotated. After reassembly I put the unit back in the pool and it drove straight and high on the sides. Hope this helps someone :-)

I have slack in the rear chain and I'm getting shiny spots on the links at the pins how do you tighten the chain.

If your chain is gettin shiny spots at the pins the chain and sprockets may be worn past their limit. Check for excessive side to side play in the chain and for pointed teeth on the sprockets. If either are worn remember when replacing them the chain and sprockets should be done at the same time. If it is only an adjustment the axle carrier is eccentric, the axle housing must be loosened and the bearing housing rotated within the swingarm until the chain is at proper adjustment. Always double check adjustments after they are made and rotate the wheels with the vehicle off the ground to ensure there is no binding
