Most of the time it is due to fuel lock - very hot engine. Easy to check, run engine with gas cap loose (not with full tank, fuel may spill out). Replace cap or open vent if necessary. Other problems include low or dirty oil causing oil senser to shut down engine, or hot engine due to obstruction of airway under cover and finally pressure set too high. I find that most pressure washers are set to max pressure. I like to set pressure to 70 % of capacity making components last longer. How long would a car/truck last if you drove it at max speed everywhere? Good luck with your repair.

I have a 95 Honda Accord 2.2 starts and dies right away. If I turn the key all the way off and back on again it start right back up again but shuts back off

Probably bad fuel pump or relay. Use a pressure test gauge to check for low pressure. Can also be electrical, such as bad ignition switch, ignition relay.

I have a hoda pressure washer it stats right up and while i was cleanning the wood fence i let go of trigger during about 10 min, and the motor started dying i pulled the trigger and it pick right up again...

A couple of things, what makes the engine change tone and revs is pressure, depending on the age, it may have excessive calcium build up in the pump, there may have also been a build up of crud or a wasps nest in the end of the hose when you connected and is now in the actual pump, you can remove the base and flush the sytem, hope this helps the problem, good luck.

Engine starts easily and then stalls, is hard to restart

If the engine dies shortly after start. Squeeze the spray wand trigger to release pressure on the unit. When restarting let the engine run for a few min(2-3 no more) to warm up, the unloader valve on the pump should keep pressure to a minimum. If the engine stalls or will not run you need to check your carburetor and clean it. BECAREFUL as FUEL is FLAMMABLE and there are small parts in the carb float bowl that like to get lost. A rebuild kit for most carbs is less than $8USD and a can of spray carb cleaner about$2-3. Install a fuel cut off valve($6) to keep the carb from gumming up again. Shut off the fuel when not in use or for periods of prolonged storage. Take a picture of the carb on the engine(my memory is bad) and during disassembly to assure you get it back together properly. The idle screw should be turned in(to the right)till it seats lightly then backed out 1&1/2 to 2&1/2 turns to start with. After starting the engine adjust for good idle and running buy turning in or out to attain the best idle. If this is helpful, Please leave Feedback. Thanks, SnugglePants

Honda gas power pressure washer runs for awhile then cuts off.

did you pour all of the old gas out before you started to use it. Sometimes condensation builds up in gas tank when stored. You need to dump old gas an put in new gas.

Chevy 4.3 fuel prombems..?

I'd be replacing oil sender. GM have used oil pressure switch as a safety shut-off to fuel pump, when oil pressure drops off, as it would in a collision, due to engine stall.

Motor shuts down

Have you checked/tested the fuel pressure? sounds like a bad pump and or plugged fuel filter, check the pressure, if it is low replace the filter, if that still doesn't help you will need a new fuel pump, it is located in the fuel tank.
