PC WON'T PWR. ON, GREEN PWR. SPPLY LIGHT JUST FLASHES. DO I HAVE A BAD P/S OR WHAT.

Why would you want to try to repair a working green LED?
But you need a manual, to check what the blinking light means. See how it flashes, because the board is trying to tell you what is wrong with these flashes. Like perhaps bad voltage, or bad RAM or ROM? or lost all settings.

You cant find bad caps by just looking

make sure both the 4 pin and 20 pin connectors are firmly installed. if the mobo light flashes how many times does it flash, do you hear any beeps?

if it flashes RED it usually means a bad or dead battery. If no light comes on then I would start looking at the contacts for corrosion and a loose connection on the circuit board/spark unit area. if no loose connection I would think the board is faulty

usually ether pwr supply or mother board. i have seen older Compaq's having bad mother boards. check pwr light on front of pc case. if orange it is mother board, if off pwr suply.

by mb pwr connector do you mean the swich on the pc case that you press to turn it on or do you mean the large block connector form the power supply ?

If you mean the case switch then you have a faulty one that is sendinga constant signal and locking up the power supply

capacitors in power spply bad they will be bowed on top may need 4 or 6

I had recently had a problem with the Video block or Light Engine as some call it. The TV had blue blotches and streaks in the lower right side of the screen. I sent the light Engine in to TSM INC. in Evansville, IN and they rebuilt it for $300.00. I just got it back yesterday and when I reassembled it I forgot to plug in a connector thus the failure code of 4 red light flashes. I took it back apart and discovered my mistake, corrected it, reassembled it and the TV works perfectly. If you need any help with this process, let me know.

There's a fan in the optical block (light engine) You may also have either an intermittent fan or a bad connection from the fan(s)

There is 3 capacitors on Deflection board cp150 2200uf 16v look to see if it is puffed up on top if so it is bad so replace other 2 caps cp114 and cp120 220uf 35v they are green with gold writing on them.
