My mounting plate broke as well when it fell over. There is a vendor on Amazon who sells them, but they are 7.99, and shipping is 7.00, not Prime eligible, so just the plate comes out to 14.99, which is about the price for a new TG-5060. I'm going to ditch the mount and drill a hole through the tripod quick release, then use a piece of bolt with the head cut off and a wing nut to attach it. It's either that or through the tripod away, and I hate to waste things that can be fixed.
Mike, I tried the link above. www.tripodquickrelease.com
They have two release plates for targus but neither of them are for the TG-5060TR. I have a missing plate for this tripod too. When I find one I'll post on here where I found it.
Maintenance Mike
Ok I'm back, after looking every where online, I found very few places that sell targus parts and fewer that have the correct quick release. When I did find them, they were so expensive, it would be cheaper to buy a new tripod from Wal-Mart. So I just bought a new one. Targusparts.com does have them, but after shipping it would be $17.66 (shipped to Texas). A new tripod from Wal-Mart (targus tg5060tr) was $13.17 after tax. Hope this helps save you some time.
Hi, it's still me. Almost a year later. I've taken the old tripod, drilled out a hole through the head and mounted a lamp into it. It was a desk lamp with a gooseneck (I removed the base of the lamp so it is just the neck and head). The idea was to use it for a hairlight but, it turned out to be, not bright enough. It does however make a neat "floor lamp" to help brighten up a room for "not photography" porpoises.

Try www.TripodQuickRelease.com for that part. There is listed the widest selection of quick releases and support more brands than any other web site I've seen.
Try www.TripodQuickRelease.com for that part. There is listed the widest selection of quick releases and support more brands than any other web site I've seen. Because your tripod is not supported by the manufacturer; parts lists and pars are not available, you should measure the opening and see what other brand quick releases will work paying attention to the shape and locking mechanism. Otherwise just get another tripod.
