EMachine e627 screen blank

I am assuming you have plugged the screen into a known working power source. You have pressed the 'on' button to turn the screen on and you have hooked up the screen to the back of the computer. What I need to know is if when you power up the computer if you see any text at all from the post AND if you see any lights on the front of the screen itself. (most all screens have lights on the front of them to tell you they are turned on, and most of the time the light is green). If the screen is on but is getting an orange or amber light that means something. Also if you see text or something on the screen initially but not in windows then it could be a resolution or driver issue.

Im not sure if anyone is checking these threads. but ive just pulled my emachines e627 apart to clean out fan because was absolutely clogged. followed a how to pull apart laptop video which was very helpful by the way. now it is back together and its the same problem as the OP. no text or nothing on screen, fan runs for approx 10 seconds then stops. Im going to open it back up. Will post back here if i find a solution to what it was!!!!!
