Iforgot my ipod password and user name and itunes

I forgot my ipod password and user name and itunes does not reconize my name .I have clicked on forgot password and it does not work .Itunes does not even reconize my name.Is there any way to completely reset my ipod classic? My computer is a p.c .Thanks!!

Hello,

there are two options by which you can unblock the ipod. Follow any of the procedures tomorrow.
Unlock with the Primary Computer

  1. Plug the iPod into the primary computer linked to that iPod, the first computer you synchronized it with unless you have designated another computer as the primary computer.
  2. Open itunes and sync the iPod as normal.
  3. Remove the iPod, following the normal removal procedure. The iPod unlocks automatically as you remove it.
Unlock by Restoring
  1. Restore the iPod to factory settings if you do not have access to your primary computer. This erases all of the data you have stored on the iPod.
  2. Plug your iPod into the new computer you want to be the primary computer. Open iTunes and click on the "Restore" button.
  3. Reload your data, if it is available and sync your iPod. Remove it following normal procedures.

Is this your first time using the iPod since buying this from ebay? There are two ways on how you can do this:
1. By connecting it to the primary computer and syncing it with iTunes. Please take note that this needs to be the primary computer you have connected it with.
2. If it is not, then your final resort would be to do a factory reset of the iPod. This will delete all files, music etc on your iPod and will restore it to factory default. You need to use the iPod updater to reset it.

Forgot apple account security code
Ok... go to your iTunes program. Under the "Store" tab you should see an option for Viewing My Account. Click that. At this point iTunes will ask you for your user name and password. Enter your user name and click the "Forgot Password" button.

Your iPhone uses the same user name and password as your iTunes software.

My ipod is blocked. i forgot the password. what do i do?
Plug it into itunes on a PC or MAC and see what itunes has to say about it. Normally itunes will unblock it for you, or if the worst comes to the worst you will have to do a firmware restore. (plug into itunes and click on the restore button on the main ipod screen.)

Forgotten Password
If your iTunes Store account uses an Apple ID to sign in, you can reset your password by clicking here.
If your iTunes Store account uses an AOL screen name to sign in, you can reset your password using AOL's password recovery tool.
Change Password
You can change your Apple ID password through your iTunes Store account by following these instructions:

I forgot my password and is locked
OOPS, try this:
connect it to your computer and click reset when your ipod nano comes up on itunes. you should click on the ipod name in the left side of your screen (lwhere the itunes library and store icons are located) and there should be a button that says restore or reset your ipod to origional settings. it will erase all passwords.

Iforgot my lock combination for the ipod
You have to restore the ipod using itunes. An apple rep will tell you the same thing. It sucks to loose your music if you don't have all of the music on your computer; and that people assume just because you forgot your password you stole it. Hope this information is helpful to your issue :)
