Pump leaking from base

Hi, Just wondered if you could help? I used my Karcher for the first time in some weeks and found that there was water trickling out of the base. The pump was also constantly switching on/off every 2 seconds to keep pressure/charge.

Is there any fix or service I can perform to stop leak??

Thank you

Adam kear

I have the same Problem, the leak is from the seam of the Manifold housing. There is a small crack in the seam. A manufacturing defect.. A New Manifold Complete Replacement is about $61.03, about the half the price what I paid for this pressure washer at Walmart... :( If under 1 year old, and you can find a receipt to prove it,Karcher will replace the whole Pressure washer under warranty.

When I switch on my karcher it starts immediately, leaks water and has a little oil on the base, and will not respond to the trigger on the lance.

Seems like the pump may be busted on the inside. Oil leaking and water leak too, sounds like that is the problem! Try inspecting the pump for damage. If the pump is damaged, it will be cheaper to replace the unit. Best of luck to ya!

Karcher 620m wont work at high pressure

what you describe indicates a problem hose or block nozzle jet
if it doesn't play up with a normal nozzle then it is not the hose or jet but that particular wand and nozzle you are using
do you have a sufficient inlet water supply for the pump

What are the components in the handle of a Ryobi RHP 410 pressure washer?

Hello sir, that is a on going problem with power washers the pump not working, than works sporadically. the main cause is leaving the pressure hose hooked up to the machine over a long period of ,not draining hose & machine, in the winter time the hose & pump willfreeze causing hose & pump to expand and burst. build up of calcium deposits from hard water clogging up pump nozzle, valves in the gun handle, clogging hose fittings and screens.one of these has to be your problem.you can find a parts brake down at KARCHER.COM.orRJ BOWERS.COM . and manuals, these are good info, sites, hope this helps, MrFixIt,oh could you please rate this solutions.thankyou. ``

Hi My karcher k3.65 jubilee is leaking water when the pump is switched off from underneath

Hi This could be just the water inlet channel broken or split. You will need to remove the yellow cover via the screws at the back of the unit and then connect the water hose to see where the leak is coming from. If the water comes from underneath the pump then you will need a replacement pump seal kit of which you can purchase on the Internet.

Karcher k1 leaking from inside casing.

The most likely issue, which seems to occur alot with karcher, is a cracked water pump. What happens is that as you release the trigger on the handle, the rise in pressure should cut off the motor, but as it also cuts off the water flow at the wand end and the motor spins a few more revs until it stops, then there is a huge pressure glitch which blows apart the weak plastic pumps that they use. Since the plastic cracks it is very difficult to repair and the only option is to go and buy another. BUT...this time tape up the trigger on the handle so it is always on and then it won't blow itself up. Just use the unit on/off switch to turn the motor on and off.

Karcher 360M pressure washer pulsating problem when idleing

Hello,

unfortunately these little units have this problem commonly, 9 times out of 10 it will be the plastic head or the plastic valve block on the unit will be cracked and leaking slightly... it builds up pressure then leaks out and tries to build up the pressure again and this just reoccurs over and over...

you can get this repaired but is normally about half the cost of a new unit, if the pressure is still okay i would probably recommend just keep using it until it proper dies...

If you do get this fixed, we have studied into this and believe the main cause of heads cracking is warm water say if your inlet hose is in the sun for a period of time this can cause the water to become quite hot or if the unit sits and water trapped inside the head assy freezes can also cause this. Hope this helps Kind Regards Brad

Hi,karcher hds hot pressure washer now pressure when you pull trigger and pulses.

what you need to do is, take the screw fitting which goes to the water tank off, then the one that goes from the water tank to the pump head .
then put the one that was in the first place going to the water tank on to the pump and force feed with water.
see if you can see water leaking from any where seals hose.
try running the machine to check the pressure.
if water leaking from pump head you need seals.

Karcher k7.80 pressure washr

I have a Karcher K 3.86 M electric PW with a similar problem: water leaks from the pump near the outlet and the pressure surges on and off continuously at intervals of 1-2 seconds. The leak appears to be coming from a very thin crack in the plastic pump head in what I think is the "unloader" valve portion. I read elsewhere that if you leave water in these PW's and it freezes it will crack, causing leaks. I don't know how you can empty all the water out so I think we must store these PW's in areas that won't freeze in winter.
