Try to boot your Hardrive to the other computer ( hard disk to hard disk) and you can access your folder and to back up your files...if try to and then don't forget to scan your harddrive, format your hardisk in your motherboard...check also your motherboard if working properly...if no work at all...your Hard disk is collapse it because of service factory defects///.... :D

Is the computer see ing it if not ,unplug run computer then turn off re plug in and computer should see it with its plug and play system

According to your problem, check the viruses of your hard drive. Check the cable of the hard disk. Make sure that the drive is OK. Check also that the portable harddrive's file format supports the PC file format.
