Power button if flashing orange and nothing else works

you either have a faulty power supply or faulty main board. Vizio power supplies on the older sets are pretty decent. It's usually the main boards that go. These older main boards tend to be pricey so it may be better to buy a new set.

Unplug the computer and take out the battery.
Hold the power button for ten seconds.
Leave the battery out and plug in the power cord.
Press the power button.
If the computer turns on, put the battery and everything should now work.
This has solved every "laptop not turning on problem" for me and my friends.

Are you sure it's not red you're seeing instead of orange? Disconnect power. Re-seat the RAM circuit boards inside the computer. Check for possible loose parts inside. Check all the fans and remove accumulated dust. Check the CPU - if possible remove the heat sink and inspect the silicone compound for dryness - reapply new compound if it's dry. The power supply may be bad as well - check that.

Since it sounds like an issue with the Power first try to release flea power.Disconnect the charger,remove battery,press and hold down the power button for 30 seconds.Reconnect the battery and charger.Turn on system and check if it turns on. For further help please check Dell Inspiron 1525 Manual. Also confirm if the light on the charger stays on,when connected to the system.

try this. It is the reset for the waste ink error (8 flashes)

1) With the printer power OFF, while pressing the Resume button, press the Power button. (Do not release the
power button.)
2) While pressing the Power button, release the Resume button, press the Resume button again twice, and then
release the Resume button and Power button.
3) The green indicator flashes during initialization.
When the indicator stops flashing and remains on, press the Resume button 4 times to clear waste ink message.
(The indicator toggles between orange and green each time the Resume button is pressed.)
4) Next, press the Power button, and the green indicator will light, and the function will be executed.
5) Turn off the printer then back on and error should clear.

flashing light is normal..when batt is being charged.....

Check all connections on the computer outside and inside, re-seating ram sticks too, if that dont work you might need a new power supply.

Have you tired holding down the power button. Other wise what model is this computer? And how far into the boot cycle does it get?

by pressing the power button in, the computer has gone into standby or hibernate mode.
Heres what you Do:- press and hold the power button for between 10 to 20 seconds.
that should bring it out of hibernation.
if that does,nt work. remove the main battery.
when you,ve resolved the problem, run a disk-scan via your windows operating system.
