The right front burner knob to our GE profile electric cooktop is frozen and therefore we can not use it. How can we fix this? We went to Lowes where we purchased it and they couldn't help. Thanks in advance.

GE profile JP939 flashing F152, how do I fix?

F152 means the right front burner has failed, the sensor in it is bad, the burner will need to be replaced. If you go to the following web page, and pick out your exact model number, you will see diagrams and parts lists that will help you get this fixed. You can order the element from that website, if you choose: http://www.appliancepartspros.com/partsearch/modelsearch.aspx?model=JP969 Good luck, and hope this helps.

My GE Profile JPG636 cooktop has an ignitor problem. It clicks constantly, and all the ignitors on all 5 burners are 'going off'. It happens every 8 or 10 seconds whether we're cooking or not. If anyone...

The most common cause for this issue is from liquid getting into the ignition system for the range. If someone has spilled water or other liquids into the burner knobs or the ignition system it will cause an electrical short in the system causing the igniters to come on constantly when the knobs are off. The fix to this is to unplug the range and wait 24 hours for the liquids to dry up. You can speed up this process with a hair dryer pointed at the burner stems(knobs removed). Once the liquids have dried up the problem should stop. I would not leave it plugged in until then because the ignition system could be damaged from the constant sparking.

F113

I have the same problem. I had a repair man here and he said the main powder logic board ( WB23T10014) was the problem, it would cost $757 to fix. I ordered the board for $230 and installed it myself but still have the F113 problem.

Burner only cooks on high heat.

You need the switch for that burner. The contacts inside are stuck together. You will need to pull the unit and separate the glass from the lower body to access it. To get the right switch you need full model and serial number located on a plate at the bottom of the unit.

Your ability to perform this is dependent on how mechanical you are. The Whole unit must be removed from the counter opening and the base unscrewed from the glass, remove knobs before disassembling. For someone mechanical this is not difficult. De-energize whole unit first.

Once the two pieces are separated the remainder is mechanically easier. Disassemble the box on right containing the switches and replace the correct one. Reverse the process for reassembly. Good Luck

Ge profile ceramic electric cooktop

No recalls that I know of.  The switch for that burner has shorted and will need to be replaced.  It will be fine once it is repaired.
