I would check company web ste for information on the unit for a part number. Then check Ebay or any parts supplier that pops up on web. Good luck, Chas
The store that you purchased the unit from should have replacement chargers. If they don't, any car accessory store that sells GPS units should be able to supply you with a replacement. Failing that you can always order on from the Garmin website:
You can choose your model number from the drop down menu, then type in vehicle power cord for what you are looking for. They will give you a picture and price for the cord. You can then choose how you want them to ship it to you.

have you got it plugged in too charger, power button wont function if no charge in battery..... easy to forget when your freaking out about your 3k lap top... goodluck Chas
usually when cords are wrapped around the base of the plug, it creats a short in the cord.
And most people *do* wrap cords around objects to create convienent space.
basicly it was the cord not the system.
I had the same problem and was able to fix it by finding a replacement cigarette lighter power cord with the same voltage and polarity. Input to cord is 12Volts. Output to GPS is 5Volts, with a positive center post.
