Nothing to my knowledge in a side by side refrigerator freezer works on 12 Volts. Evaporator fan motors are generally 115 Volts.

My AEG freezer works fine but the fridge doesn't seem to cool

Freezer is working fine, but Refrigerator is not cooling?

Little more complex than that. You will have an evaporator fan motor and and possibly an Auger motor depending on the sophistication of your fridge. If these items are frozen up, it will create the scenario you are experiencing with your fridge. Suggest a 12 hour defrost period to totally remove ice. Clean up excess water and retry.

MY REFRIGERATOR MODEL#GSS20IETA BB DOES NOT GET COLD IN THE REFRIGEATOR SIDE . WHAT COULD THIS BE?

open the freezer and listen for the evaporator fan motor, if you can't hear it running then you need to replace it. it pushes the cold air from the freezer into the fridge to keep it cold.

Ice build-up in lower freezer. We replaces the

warm between doors is normal. if hot then clean coils and if coils clean make sure condenser fan motor working thats the fan in the back compartment, however if warm thats good. did the evaporator coil freeze from top to btm is that why u replaced heater. if it was then could be heater,if the coil is only getting frost on half the coil, you could have a sealed system problem. is the evaporator motor working in the frz side if not, then that could be the problem.if coil is froze up it needs to be defrosted. did you defrost coil when you replaced heater,if not try defrosting coils and then wait about 12 hrs and see how it does.

My fridge freezer made by samsung is on the blink

These fridges have an evaporator fan motor on both sides - the freezer and fridge side. The freezer can maintain it's temperature because that fan is working fine. I had the same problem, and replaced the evaporator fan motor on fridge side, and it solved the problem. Also, if your fan motor is not working well, or stops working, the evaporator is prone to ice build up, and will prevent proper cooling. You may want to open up panel on fridge side and see if that's the case. Taking a blow dryer to the evaporator and surrounding area (while fridge is off), or letting it sit for a few hours might solve the problem. Ultimately though, it appears as if these fan motors are prone to failure, and need to be replaced.

Fridge not cooling

Check and see if your evaporator fan motor is working in the freezer. Also, if your defrost system is not working and your evaporator coil is frosted up, you will not get any cold air to the refrigerator section. You should see alot of frost on the back wall of the freezer where the evaporator coil is located. If your evaporator fan motor is working and there is no frost build up on the coil, the air diffuser to the refrigerator section may be the problem. Put your hand in front of it when the evaporator fan motor is running and feel if any air is coming thru. There are a number of conditions that can cause your problem. This should get you started!
