Kenmore front load washer wont start

door locked after wash selected drain and spin will not respond

Same thing is happening with mine, what did you do to fix it?

I've been going crazy with this too. Turns out all you have to do is hold down the "options" & "select" buttons at the same time until the "lock light" (the light just above the "pause/cancel" button) turns off. I guess that's why there is a line under the option/select buttons that have a lock symbol connecting the two.

Sometimes I just have to unplug the machine, wait a few seconds and plug it back in and it works. I guess it resets itself or something.

can also be an issue with t door lock/latch assy, if it doeesnt recognize the door closed it wont start

Press and hold the control lock button down until the light goes off. This is a child proof feature that may have come on if you leaned against it to long. After lock light goes off you can use the machine.

If I remember correctly you have to move the door boot seal out of the way by removing the wire ring underneath to get inside to the door switch there are two screws holding in the latch on the outside

I had same problem........push options and select button at same time, hold for 5 sec.......choose option.....machine stuck inbetween cycles.

at least it worked for me!

Sounds like you have done everything right. Is the door closed firmly? Did you hold the pus to start button long enough?

Sounds like u need a new control panel
