My dell inspiron 1300 laptop s asking me for a password that i do not have

You have to enter the password to be able to use the computer. There is no way to recover the password. Passwords stop other people from using your computer. If there was a way to bypass it, passwords would be absolutely useless in protecting your computer from unwanted people gaining information about you.

If you do not have a password, do a system recovery.

When are you getting this password authentication? Is this when you try to sign on to the computer? If so, maybe you are going booting to somewhere like a domain that you shouldn't be on if you don't know the password.

Is the the Authentication for trying to get on a wireless network?

The only way to get the power on password is to contact Dell and prove to them that you are the owner of the laptop and they will provide you with the master password. I had to do this once and it took me 6 emails throughout a 2 week period. I would go to their website and get the 1 800 number for a possible faster resolution.
