I have a Dell Inspiron 1525 that 2.5 years old. Lately after about 10 minutes or so, IE does not respond, hangs and goes to grey.

By the way are you using an IE or Firefox? If you are using different type of a browser make sure to check the settings of which is the location or folder that store all the downloaded files.

If you are using an IE: the default for that would be under either My Documents or My Received Files folder.

But if you are using Firefox the default would be on the Desktop. Hope this help you out. Thank you.

Download s not responding
Try using another browser. Otherwise download Internet Download Manager available in Softpedia.com . Also try resetting the IE .

Reset IE : Right Click on IE > Click on properties > Click on settings > Click on the Reset button > Click on close > Restart IE .

Check if it works.

Try using the Google Chrome. That should also help.

Time of day clock stopped - DELL Inspiron 1525
Hi,
This is one of the known issues with the Inspiron 1525 computer.The problem is caused by faulty cmos battery. If you computer is in warranty kinldy call Dell to get the same replaced . if the system is out of warranty. You would need to replace the CMOS battery ie below the keyboard.
