Why does golflogix say out of range on my iphone when my other golf gps works fine?

It may have been corrupted update. Remove the App, reboot the phone and redownload the App. If that doesn't work, contact Golf Logix direct.

I would suggest garmin.com for original cable, amazom.com for other sources and ebay for worldwide sources.

Open the unit up and remove the mother board. Place the board on a cookie sheet propped/supported by a small wad of paper at each corner. Do not let the board touch the cookie sheet. Preheat oven to 170 degrees and bake the board for 10 minutes.
I did the same for the board in my Cuisinart coffee maker. Read it on a fix it site for Cuisinart when my coffee maker would not come on. Both my coffee maker and GOLFLOGIX GPS8 are working fine.

The cable can be a pain. It has to be slid all the way down to the very bottom of the socket on the gps, even when its tight, it might not be connected all the way. I usually wiggle it left and right while pushing it down.

Did you reset all of your settings? and was it real cloudy out on that day? Have you used it since? and is it working now?

click on help in the course manager software, then click on "How Do I restore my golflogix unit". connect it and turn it on. when it tells you its restored, turn it off and on, and load your courses again. FORE!

make sure you install the software off of golfgps.com

go to http://www.golflogix.com/WebSite/GarminHome.aspx and run through the installer under "Download Software"

you need to reload courses.

The GolfLogix 7 had a problem that if you did a reset to factory defaults it wiped out the Almanac in the GPS. This is the Table of where the satelites are. Put in a fresh set of battery's....turn it on and put it out in the open sky for 4 to 8 hours. Sometimes this will work. If not contact Golflogix Tech Support. They ill probable ship you a replacement unit.
