Ok. Can you please get me the make and model of the remote so that I can check if I have the code for it?
The original remote is listed in the owner's manual as
NE122UD, associated with Sylvania, Symphonic, and Durabrand. The universal remote I'm using now is made by Philips and has the code CLO32 inside the battery compartment.
Ok. Here's the list of all remote codes for your remote. Your brand is also listed so I am hoping that one of them will do the trick.

I believe that the list of codes you found is the same one I found earlier, before contacting fixya. I do not believe any of the codes worked, but I will try again when I get home. Unfortunately, that will be a week from now;
No problem at all. This thread will never close.
Question: Are you saying that the Philips universal remote with CLO32 in the battery compartment sends 3-digit codes for TV instead of 4-digit codes? That could be my problem. I've worked with several universal remotes lately, and I may have (in my record keeping) inadvertently put a leading zero on the front of the 3 digit code that originally worked. I can't check until I get home in a week, but I wouldn't be surprised if that's what happened. Thanks for your help.
Yes I do think a leading 0 is not necessary. Try without the zero and let me know.
