I have a Melodies in Motion Seiko clock that is about four years old. It still keeps great time. However the face movement sticks about half-way through it's movement. Any idea of how to repair the problem or who can repair it?

Mcdevito75 here, Sounds like 1 or both hands are hanging up on themselves or something on the face of your watch, look for a small watch repair shop in your area, or check here at fixya, bottom of page, click on repair service directory the watches.

My seiko motion clock face opens and does not close back all the time I have replaced the batteries but it still stays open

Thank you for contacting FixYa

I am not as experienced in the clock side of Seiko, but I did find their website and it is filled with great recommendations for clock repair. I would highly recommend you contact Seiko on this.

Time keeping

Hi suliva,

If you check the manual of the watch you will see that error of these watches is +-15sec/month (depends on the movement and temperature of operation that you have) which brings your error inside the range. Don't worry. If you keep your watch around 28oC it will have min. error.
Cheers,

How to change the hour

Anniversary clock hands can be adjusted directly moving the minute hand clockwise. Do not touch hour hand as this may cause hand disalignment. Carefully move minutes hand with your finger all the way around till you reach desired time.

I have a seiko flight watch, unknown of the model, second hand doesn't reset

I guess the blue faced SEIKO is a Flightmaster (Model: 7T92- OCFO)and it is a great watch. This is a common problem with most chronographs and this happens due to misalignment with usage.

All you need to do is pull out the locking crown all the way out (2nd Step) as if setting time. and then press and hold the top / left button and at first the milli seconds hand resets. after which you have to press the borrom / right button to move the seconds hand in to place. and then reset the time and lock the crown. You can repeat this for Milli Seconds, Seconds, Minutes & hours hands.
Hope this helps,
Krishna Chaitanya GT.
