Power on, press the start button for 5 or 6 seconds, the key sign will go off. Perhaps your machine was accidently locked.

Bosch Logixx 8 error code nr0 means - The childproof lock has been activated.

Just deactivate the childproof lock.

Firstly, follow the instructions for "Emergency Release" on page 13 of the Operating Instructions for this machine.
If, when you switch on the machine and select a washing programme after doing this, the key symbol still appears, press and hold down the 'Timer' button (second from top on the left hand side of the message panel) for a few seconds until the key disappears. Now operate the machine as you normally do.

The Key symbol means the lock has been activated some how.

On most bosch of your class this is how you work it on & off.

Here`s how to deactivate it...

1) Press the "menu" button until you see "CHILD LOCK :ON" appear in the display. ( if nothing is pressed within 10 sec.following this the menu will close and it will default to program in the display )

2) Once you see what I just mentioned in the display press the "select" button until "CHILD LOCK :OFF" appears in the display.

3) Finally by pressing the "start/pause" button the key symbol should disappear confirming you have successfully exited the child lock program.

This is the child lock. It prevents the buttons working.
Press and hold the 'MENU' button for until the symbol dissapears (about 5-6 seconds)
You can activate it the same way once the cycle is going thus preventing accidental changes to the programme.

Annoying until you know how but useful when you do.
