I have a mtx 1501d amplifacor stopped working the problem I have isthat on a led238 I want to know if it is blocked
There are a lot of problems that can cause the amp to apply DC to the speaker terminals.
Before we go any farther, you should know that this amp stores enough energy to kill. When power is applied, the transistors must be clamped to the sink. After removing power, you MUST wait for ALL LEDs to go COMPLETELY out.
You need to CAREFULLY measure the DC voltage from leg 1 to leg 3 of all of the output transistors (the ones you changed). Post a list of the voltages and circuit board designation (FETxyz) for any that read more than 1v.
Do NOT let the probes short to other pins or to the heatsink when measuring the voltage.
Remember... High voltage and lots of stored energy. Be careful.
I can't read the notes on the photo. Email me a full sized version:

ok do you want me to do this with power to the amp or you want me to power it up for a couple second and the disconnect it and test each one with while the caps are charged. and another thing i never connected it with the amp open up and the led in the center of the caps light up led399. also up front at the rca conection ports i smelt heat like something was getting to hot
i connect it again and the transformer was making this bizzing sound and the the led 238 flash and then went dim and the heated area started to smell again
this is the pic of the amp
when i power my amp up with the subs hooked up it pushes them out and makes a buzzing noise how do i fix it
