I have a Expedition Metal Combo watch itme T411019J. Face and digital both stopped. Took to a clock repair shop to get battery. New battery in it and only the digital works. Clock repair tech thinks there is something wrong with it, that is why it drained the battery. Could charge me $$$ to check it out. Is there a reset for the face? Or should I send it in to Timex?

A good jeweller or clock repair shop, will know which battery to fit.

You could get a battery from town or a special shop.

Same thing happened to me, took watch to watch shop, they changed the battery and the chimes stopped working. Simple fix, the faceplate was put back on wrong. Unscrew the face plate and turn it upside down (or right side up depending on your POV) the circle on the inside of the faceplate will line up with the springs inside the watch and the chimes will start working again. If you have a pair of eyeglasses screw drivers, like I did, you can do this yourself.

when you took bak of did you notice a spring on top of movement about 5mm long and 1mm wide if not its been lost when you took back off you need this for your functions to work, if it is there then you need to AC the watch open watch refit battery on the movement there should be to letters normally AC or AD when you have fitted battery place a pair of tweezers or anything you can make to look like tweezers place one prong on top of movement then place other end on area at the AC symbol normally a round metal disc about 2mm wide and tap like tapping two fingers down at same time make sure your prong on the movement is touching a metal section you need to do this a couple of times..

You probibly need to have the anologe serviced. It isn't like the old days when watches had a mainspring which, when you wound it the gears would push by anything that got in the gears way because of the pressure form the mainspring. Now with quartz watche ANY little thing ( dust sooo small) will stop the gears from running. I would take the watch to a reputable watchrepair and have them check the battery. DO NOT ask them to sell you a new battery just CHECK it. If you get a new battery, it the watch probibly will run good again for about 3 weeks , and then start acting up again, because a new battery might have enough power (at first) to get by the watches problem untill it uses some energy up. But if your battery is bad that to could cause this , but that is highly doubtful that is the problem.

Press all the four buttons simultaneously your digital clock gets resetted. It worked for me try it out.

We had the same problem with our wall clock, but it was due to corrosion from a dead battery. The battery acid leaked inside and disrupted the connection between the metal contacting the batteries and the circuit (the one with the copper coil). We took everything out cleaned the contact points with acetone (nail polish remover). After that we had to bend the contact heads up just a little bit so they would contact the circuit again (I guess we bent them down a little when we were cleaning it). It worked just fine after that. I know it sounds intimidating to take apart a clock and put it back together but you're going to throw it out anyway. Just give it a try. It was kinda fun. Think of it as a puzzle. If you can't fix it, I imagine you can get a new motor at any hobby store or Michaels.
