How do I fix my Toshiba rear projection tv convergence problems?

Hi,
Double vision/ picture problem occurs due to failure of convergence output ICs in rear projection tv and it is common problem of projection tvs.
Please replace convergence output ICs in tv to solve the issue, there is convergence repair kit available for $70 on This Site that has required parts/ ICs, instructions about how to replace ICs etc for a handy person.

Hi, if you are not able to adjust the convergence using the remote you will need to replace the convergence chips. 
Typical Symptoms

1) Convergence menu does not work for one or more colors.  
Such as: Red moves up,down, but left or right fails. 

2) Screen is bowed looking.

If you have one or more of the problems above you need to replace the convergence chips. You can get a kit and instructions from www.TvRepairKits.com

Yes its actually a very easy repair. You need two STK392-110 Convergence ICs and six 1.2 ohm 2watt resistors. You can get the replacement parts and instructions at the following link.

If the convergence on one or more color does not align using the convergence setup procedure, that means that one or more convergence ICs must be replaced, that is the reason why you get bad picture.

That means that the convergence ICs are bad and must be replaced, the job is about $200/$300.

I charge 285.00 at my shop ,so if you cannot fix it your self you are looking at repair anywhere from that price or more .You have 2 STK ics these are your convergence Chips .You would need to replace both of them.If you can solder you have it made.
