Bad TCON board or Damaged screen. You can try and replace the TCON "Timing Control Board" and see if that helps. Replacing the Screen itself is very expensive and normally about half of what the unit cost new. Here is a video to give you a clue on how to do so, it is pretty easy when you know which board to replace.

hi this fault sounds like a bad tab/ribbon fault, at top of the tv are ribbons connector to the screen, when one is faulty the heat makes them flex causing this fault, you can bond the ribbon down with a bit of rubber to stop it flexing, but this not a permanent repair as it is a screen fault. hope it helps

that is usually caused by cleaning the screen with windex the windex runs down the screen bewteen the screen and plastic frame and actually seeps inside between the screen layers. Eventually it may go away by itself if the circles are not too bad but in most cases the damage is permanent.It can also be an issue called screen delamination which there is no fix for.

In what way are you getting these streaks? horizontal, vertical? Are they stationary or do they move with the picture?

Hi, I have a Sony Grand Wega LCD Projection TV that has a blotted gray streak across the front of the screen. I only use a damp cloth to clean the window and that doesn't seem to help. It really shows up on light pictures and is unnoticed when the picture is a little darker. What can I do to fix this problem???

I had one broken a few months ago. I got a couple quotes.. it was about $200 less then a brand new one. I'd just buy a new one.
For the new TV I'd pickup a screen protector for it. My son threw a toy at my TV the other day and I nearly had a heart attack from the flashbacks. Thank God I picked up one of these a few weeks earlier. It stopped it. LCD screens really break easily as you know. http://www.tv-armor.com

You have a bad LCD panel. Hopefully it is under warranty still as they are expensive.
