The tv turns itself off and then back on. the standby light flashes during the off period. I've noticed in the past that after watching the tv for an extended amount of time, and turing it off, and then shortly turning it back on that the tv wont come on but will have the standby light flash. Now it simply turns itself off after 10 or 20 minutes of being on, with the standby light flashing whiling it is off for about 30 seconds, and then comes back on again.

Your TV has a power problem, it maybe high or low supply voltage that causes the TV to turn it self off because of an error. A technician from the manufacturer knows what error it has just by looking at the flashing standby light. Best is to take it to an authorize service center for repair... ^_^
