Range top front burner will not shut off, stays on high, back burner up button does not work and timer does not work. Even though it was fixed in Feb of this year LG will not fix it again

You sure it is still on? Maybe it just shows 'HS' which means hot surface. Looks a lot like H5

It could possibly be you are not getting 240 volts to the range. The top igniter may be getting a current back through the other side of the 240 circuit and that is why it works when the oven is turned on but the oven will not be getting power to heat. Have the 240 circuit checked or make sure the circuit breakers are reset correctly.

I had the same problem with my LG front left burnr. Look at the back of your range there should be schemetic for your power control board. look for defective burner wire going into relay. There should be 5 relays in rows. Relay is the problem. I had the same problem with my front left burner stuck on high.
After replacing relay everything works fine.

Well, after only a year, my front right burner was on all the way and wouldn't lower. Samsung repaired the rheostat. Three months later, the left burner is doing the same thing. This time off warranty, even though the bill says '5 year warranty on parts.' No dice. So we may have to junk this stove. Anyone know better ones?

if the burner works on high ( burner is ok ) replace the sw on back panel it's the problem / this is not a uncommon problem .. ****

UNPLUG THIS UNIT IMMEDIATELY!! Find a GOOD appliance repair store and take your make/model/serial numbet..etc..etc,, with you.. they will be able to get you what youneed...

Replace the burner switch, and you should be back in business. Hope this helps!

It sounds like the left front control or element has a high resistance short.

What your going to have to do is replace the infinate control for that burner. ( thats the control you turn to sw it from high to low heat )
