Just bought a VW Passat which has a Parrot CK3100 with no instruction manual. When I try and connect my phone it asks 'enter passcode for parrott CK3100'. How do I obtain a passcode? Many thanks

The Parrot is wireless..... you shouldn't need a dongle to update it. A Dongle is used to allow a device that doesn't already have Bluetooth to transmit information via Bluetooth. You should be able to send the update to the headset from the device it's pair with by enabling Bluetooth on the device. If your Parrot uses a usb charger, you can plug it in to any device/computer that has a usb jack to obtain your updated as well. Please click the green tag below if this helped you resolve the issue. The 3300 is not there but pairing seems to be pretty standard on all the parrot hands free kits. I'd try the CK3100 as it appears to be a very similar kit.
passcode is 1234 but you will need to go to settings / paired device / select any phones that are there and delete them first to make room for new devices.
Try deleting all paired device from the parrot and your phone, remove battery from you phone to reset it. Then follow below instructions from Parrot.
Pairing Devices:
** From your car kit: ** Select SETTINGS / ADVANCED SETTINGS / PAIR WITH PHONE / OTHER PHONES
* From the phone: * Select MENU / SETTINGS / BLUETOOTH / MY DEVICES / SEARCH NEW DEVICE * The phone will search for available devices * Select CK3100 from the list of available devices and enter PIN code \"1234\" * Phone and CK3100 are now paired. Wait for auto connection
