I cleaned my Ecoquest, it was working fine, how no power

I cleaned my Ecoquest, plugged it in and all was working fine, went back to move the unit to its usual perch, noticed that all of the lights were off. I unplugged the unit, plugged it back in and nothing happened. I checked the fuse, plate, etc, all good. Please help with other solutions.

Assuming that the unit was working fine before you cleaned it. Did you remove the back lower panel while cleaning it? It the panel that holds the electrical socket and fuse. If you did, check to see if the electrical connector is seated to the main board. Also check if the keyboard connector (the one that looks like a telephone jack) is plugged into the main board. Also, check if you model has a switch on the back that it is set to the on position. And press the power switch on the front keypad to see if that make the unit work. That all I can think that might have gone wrong.

I can only get the low setting to work . I put a new card in and it did not help. could it be my fuse and where is the fuse located.

fuse is in back by power plug, but this unit sucks!!! i went thru 5 of them, the power supply keeps failing. they will rework it under warranty but it takes forever. call salesperson. good luck. I gave up on them and went to oreck. it sucks too, just plain unhappy cause the ecoquest ROCKS when working correctly, but the oreck barely does job

I have a Fresh Air Unit from Ecoquest. The

Hi,

When that message appears the plate does not make good contact with the two contact points. You can use rubbing alcohol and a q-tip to clean the points. After 1-2 years it is also advisable to change the purifier plate. Plates are about $15 and can be purchased at EcoQuest.com

If the plate is dirty (and this can unnoticeable grime-grease) clean the plate with 1 part clear ammonia and 1 part water. An old tooth brush works great.

Ecoquest Freshair unit; fan is intermittent.

Hi Susan,

I have not experienced it but I know that if you bought your FreshAir from a dealer with EcoQuest you are entitled to a 3 year warranty.
Contact the manufacturer EcoQuest at 1-800-989-2299 and choose technical assistance from the menu. You will be guided through some trouble shooting and if needed you will get an RMA number so you can send your unit in for repair.

If you are not in contact with your EcoQuest dealer anymore and the unit has never been registered with the company you need a purchase receipt with the date on it.

Hope this helps!
Eric

Ecoquest Fresh Air Purifier Quit Working

My husband came home and checked out the unit. He discovered that the cord was bad, so he replaced it with one we had. It works fine. The cord plugs into the unit at one end and into the wall at the other end. There was no rewiring needed. Problem solved!

Power dont come on

Some of the older units did have some trouble with the connection for the power cord. Try to push in the power cord all the way and wiggle it a little bit. If it still doesn't come on the unit needs to be serviced.

The FreshAir has a 3 year factory warranty. Make sure to have the unit registered, or have an invoice showing your purchase date.

Make sure you have the filter on the back on the right way and not reversed. On the Ecoquest Breeze you should plainly see the obvious pull tab, at the top of the back filter panel, after putting the filter back in place.

When you clean this unit, the plate should be soaked in a 50% amonia to water solution for about 8 minutes. Take a toothbrush and scrub each side of plate and let copletely dry. Take a qtip and dip in rubbing alcohol and swab each of the metal electrodes that touch the plate....This should have that freash air smell back again.!!
