Furuno RDP-139 radar has a sticky trackball. I freed with silicone spray, but seems it needs a kit as is loose in wheel assembly. (It has been cleaned with isoprop.) Kit is #000144645 but can't find a vendor?? I assume it is the same trackball as the Vx2. Thanks

My tracker ball gets sticky

I've seen this problem before and normally you will have to replace your trackball assembly. Give a call to 410-228-7335. The guys at Mid-shore electronics may be able to help you out.

Furuno 1715 Radar - 'NO HEADING PULSE'

More than likely the belt has come off again. This is a common problem with this radar. You'll need a small allen wrench to tighten it up again.

Can I use my furuno gps navigator to supply position data to my rdp-139 chartplotter and if so which wires need to be connected

Yes the output forom the Furuno GPS (like a GP31) will be yellow and green, hook these to theinput on the plotter blue (or black) and white. Use Data1 on potter as the input and select a nav source of "ALL" in setup menu.
