The switch is availiable online. google "jacuzzi air switch" and you should have several sites to choose from. There are pictures of the switches, just pick the one you need and buy. I have purchased from most of the suppliers online and most are very reliable.

Why do jets turn on, then shut off?

the motor protection device is sensing to many amps. could be a flow restriction or the pump motor bearings are going bad.

I woke up to no water my pump kicks on and hums for 3 to 5 seconds and quits

It sounds like it is seized with the overload relay cycling it to save the motor. It needs to be dismantled, cleaned and possibly rebuilt. Check the price of a new one it may be cheaper.

The jets on my Cielo tub will not go on when I press the button to activate the air jets.

This sounds like the motor is either bad or the air switch in the motor is bad or...the air button on the top of the tub is bad.
Remove the pump and take the air switch out of the motor. Then plug the wires that went to the two terminals on the air switch to each other and plug the pump into an outlet you know has power.
If the motor comes on then you know the pump is good.
Now put the air switch back into the motor. Take a McDonalds straw and with the pump plugged into an outlet blow extremely hard into the straw placed into the opening of the air switch. If you can get the air switch to "click" and the pump comes on then you know you have a bad air switch. If the pump does NOT come on then you know you have a good air switch and a bad air button on the top lip of the tub.

Fill tub, press button, hear motor but no bubbles, etc coming from jets

Are the jets open? The center of the jets turn to adjust the pressure of the jets. If this is not the problem, there may be a problem with the impeller in the pump assembly. If you here the pump turning and not buzzing, it could be an air bubble in the suction tube. This tube is the one coming from the front of the pump, if the pump is higher than the tube coming from the tub, or if there is a high spot in the tube, an air bubble is a real possibility. If the tube is level with the pump, there should be no problem with air bubbles and the problem lies in the top part of this paragraph.

I have an old AquaWhirl tub that was out of commission for several months because of a breaker problem. I replaced the breaker but when I turn on tub I get 5 seconds of normal whirl followed by a big burst...

Due to your tub setting for a long period of time, you have a simple air lock in the jet hoses.
Find the pump - locate the jet farthest from the pump and using a funnel slowly pour water in that jet until water starts coming out of the other jets.
Turn you tub on it should work fine. If this does not solve your problem you may have to loosen the top hose at the pump and allow the air to escape while being replaced by the water you are pouring in

Starts but dies after several seconds

Fuel starvation - 'lean fuel' condition
Basic things to check:
1) spark plug
2) spark arrestor in muffler
3) fuel lines and tank filter
4) turn adjustment needles out (counterclockwise) 1/4 to 1/2 turn
Chain Saws:
5) check impulse tube and intake boot for cracks or leaks
*if all of the above are OK and/or do not improve performance then:
Remove Carburetor
6) replace gaskets/diaphragms
a) use a spray carb cleaner to clean jets, holes, and body of carb
b) fuel pump diaphragm goes against the carb body,
then the gasket towards the outside
c) metering gasket goes against the carb body,
and the diaphragm goes towards the outside

Are you using the rinse setting for a few seconds following the backwash? If not, once you finish washing, stop the pump, change the valce to rinse, then run it about 3 to 5 seconds. Shut down then switch to filter and the particles should stop coming back to the pool.
