I have a 42hp83 toshiba tv n when turned on i get pixils at bottom and blotchy pixils all over screen..

My own Toshiba 42HP83 goes into purple ghost screen mode after a few hours, which is an overheating problem. The previous owner had the fans (plural) replaced in it and it worked well for him.

To diagnose: If the same ghosting occurs regardless of which input you are receiving from, it's probably the overheat.
