Most gas weed eaters use 2-cycle engines. For the Homelite 2-cycle engine trimmers, use a 50:1 ratio of gasoline to the Homelite lubricant. (For 1 gallon of gas, add 2.6 oz of the oil.)

Usually says on the gas cap. My guess is 50:1.

Without knowing your model number, the typical string for the Homelite trimmers is .080" string.These types of units use that:

Go to homelite.com, ordering parts, locating parts, select Homelite, select string trimmer, then find your ut number which will be your model no.
