I cannot open my luggage. It seems to me the combination system is locked inside and its impossible to open the luggage.the three combination numbers can be moved from 1 to 0 but it dooes not open.what can I do please?

You can able to open this number lock, but you show more patience,
put the lock number to 000 or 0000, then start with 001,002,,,upto 999 or 9999 if it is fourth digit. Each time you every digit give a slight pressure to the lever,,it will open with the correct number and open with that number you forget.

Luggage manufacturer Samsonite offers a variety of business, personal, travel products and accessories. Many Samsonite pieces such as attaches and other bags include a three-digit, built-in combination lock. When purchased, the locks are set on a factory default combination that you can change as often as you wish.
STEP 1
Turn the number dials to the previously set combination, or to "0-0-0", the factory default combination for Samsonite luggage.
STEP 2
Locate the reset button, usually placed to the side of the combination dials.
STEP 3
Press the reset button and hold it while rotating the number dials to the desired combination. Set this to a sequence easy for you to remember but hard for others to figure out.
STEP 4
Release the reset button after you set the numbers to the new combination.
STEP 5
Test the combination by turning the dials to the new code to open the lock. If the combination does not open the lock, repeat Steps 1 through 4 and test the lock again. If you still can't open the lock, contact Samsonite Customer Service at 800-765-2247.

Pull the body of the lock away from its attachment, or, if the lock is not attached, apply pressure on the U-shaped ring away from the body of the lock with your fingers. Roll the dial closest to the U-shaped ring slowly, while keeping steady pressure on the mechanism. The dial will get difficult to roll over three consecutive numbers, and one of those numbers will click. You should feel and hear this small click, and that is the first number to your combination.

VIP provides assistance if you forgot your combination code. If this is not an option, first try all the combination, 000, 001 etc. Birth dates, last/first three digits of your phone number, car number etc. If this is not an option either, take it to the luggage seller, they can break the lock. If everything else fails, then you need to cut it open.
Try rotating the numbers on the combination dial three times to clear any previous entry (stop on the zero's if this applies) and enter your combination one more time to see if this works and gets it open.
The default is 000; to set it, hold the lock open, move the dials to your numbers, and close/open three times. This will set the combination to your numbers.
the lock is currently set to 000. To set your own combination and with the lock in the 000 position, open the case and on the inside of the lock mechanism you will see a red tab. slide this tab to the left and then move the digits on the front to your desired code. ie 123. then move the red tab back to lock in this new setting as your own personal combination. close the case and then move the digits away from our setting of 123 and this locks the case. only if the digitrs are 123 in this example will the lock now open.
