My computer runs slow. It takes a long time to boot up. Occasionally I get a message that virtual memory is low. Is there something I can do myself?

Hello

Yes, this is a very common problem for computers which does not have the sufficient amount of ram installed for the software the machine runs.

Where do I get memory for my home addition xp computer brought it in 2002

Take the computer (not the keyboard & mouse & other periperals)
to any computer-store -- the smaller the store, the better.

That store needs your business -- they will open the case,
sell you memory that will be compatible with your computer,
and will, if you ask, install the RAM for a small (maybe even zero) fee.
