If you need an owner's manual, you can obtain a replacement copy at managemylife.com. Just type in your model number under their "Manuals" drop down menu and your manual will be listed in .pdf (Adobe) format that you can download or print for FREE.

If you need a repair manual, repairclinic.com has one available that you can order to assist you with all your repairs. The part number is 1170635 and is priced at about $20. Searspartsdirect.com also has a repair manual for about the same price. Part number 4314044L. I hope this information is helpful to you.

I need the electial diagram for my kenmore washer model 110.20702990.

How do you remove the back from a kenmore top loader washer

Assuming that this is a basic top load, direct drive machine, you seldom need to remove the back.

See the following for how to release the console and pull the cabinet.

http://www.american-appliance.com/catalog/newsdesk_info.php?newsPath=16&newsdesk_id=131&osCsid=0da65cea0e338fe930b1fde153a243f0

And,see the Sears parts site for your washer:

http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/index.action

Enter your model number (###.######) and you'll see a list of major sub-components with diagrams and parts.

Also see the Whirlpool / Kenmore Service Manual for top load, direct drive washers.

The agitator won't work, and the button under the lid fell off. What can we do to fix it, or would it cost too much to fix it?

Can you provide the exact Make, Model and Kenmore model number? ..........

Kenmore model numbers use the format ###.######## with the first three digits of 110 for Whirlpool manufactured machines.........

The model number on top load washers is usually found by lifting the lid and looking above the tub.

The Fixya numbers are Stock Numbers.

Since basic top load direct drive, top load electronic and front load washers are very different, the actual Model Numbers are necessary to correctly diagnose the problem.

IF THIS IS A BASIC KENMORE / SEARS TOP LOAD, DIRECT DRIVE WASHER THE PROBLEM IS LIKELY A LID SWITCH. (EASY AND INEXPENSIVE TO FIX)

I'D NEED TO KNOW THE BRAND AND MODEL NUMBER TO BETTER SUGGEST A SOLUTION.

Belt is loose or needs replaced. on a 70 series kenmore washer machine

Slipping on direct drive washers is usually caused by a damaged / broken Motor Coupler or clutch.

If yours is a direct drive machine, see the following:

How, can I clean the washer. I washed many time my husband dirty coverols and now its effects my washings.

This assumes that you have a basic Kenmore / Whirlpool top load, direct drive, neutral drain (it doesn't spin until the pump removes most of the water) machine.

KENMORE top load, direct drive, neutral drain washers are made by Whirlpool.

First, see the Sears parts site for your washer:
http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/index.action

Enter your model number (###.######) and you'll see a list of major sub-components with diagrams and parts.

The best way to completely clean the washer is to pull the agitators and drum in order to get to the tub.

Following is the Whirlpool / Kenmore Service Manual for top load, direct drive washers.

Following is a description of how to remove the cabinet, pump, motor, transmission and basket drive tube on Whirlpool / Kenmore / Roper direct drive washers.

As an aside, you don't need a special spanner wrench to remove the spanner nut. I've found that a short (10") pipe wrench hooked over one of the spanner nut tabs and tapped with a hammer will usually loosen the nut. Also, rather than hitting the Drive block directly with a hammer, put a short piece of wood under it first to protect it.

This sounds like a Timer problem. See the following Whirlpool / Kenmore Service Manual for top load / direct drive washers. It has a troubleshooting section and test procedures.

Top loader series 80 Kenmore doesn't stop after the whole wash cycle, it goes directly to 2nd rinse, then spins again and stops?

This assumes that you have a basic Kenmore / Whirlpool top load, direct drive, neutral drain (it doesn't spin until the pump removes most of the water) machine.

First, see the Sears parts site for your washer:
http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/index.action

Enter your model number (###.######) and you'll see a list of major sub-components with diagrams and parts.

Since it does everything else, the problem points to the timer.

See the following Whirlpool / Kenmore installation and service manual for top load, direct drive washers with an extensive troubleshooting section.

Operator and parts manual for a Sears Kenmore washer 400 series

First, see the Sears parts site for your washer:
http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/index.action

Enter your model number and you'll see a list of major sub-components with diagrams and parts.

The model number usually starts with 110.########

To the right of the sub-components list is usually a section where you can see and download PDF operating manuals.

If this is a basic Whirlpool / Kenmore top load, direct drive washer, following are two Whirlpool PDF locations.

The first is the installation and operations manual and the second is a parts list for their top load direct drive commercial washers, (consumer models use the same part numbers).

Washer works but smells like its burning.kenmore 90 series heavy

The burning smell could be the motor going out. When the water gets into the tub and makes it heavy it puts strain on the motor and the motor may be getting weak.
